About the role...
We're looking for a Head of Marketing to build and lead a world-class marketing organization for one of the most design-forward platforms on the internet in New York City. You'll come in with a small team already in place across partnerships, growth, and brand marketing—and be responsible for setting the vision, scaling the function, and growing Cosmos to tens of millions of users.
This is a senior leadership role for someone who can think big and execute fast—flexing between brand storytelling and growth experimentation, hiring exceptional talent, and building the systems and culture of a marketing org that matches the quality of the product.
What you'll do:
Define and own Cosmos's marketing strategy across brand and growth, setting the direction for how we show up in the world and how we scale
Build and scale the marketing organization—hiring, developing, and structuring a team that can take Cosmos through its next phase of growth
Manage and elevate the existing team across partnerships, growth, and brand marketing
Partner with our growth lead on strategy to creative viral moments across organic and paid channels
Set and evolve brand strategy—ensuring Cosmos's voice, visual identity, and positioning are world-class across every touchpoint
Drive lifecycle marketing across email, push, and in-product flows to improve activation, retention, and resurrection
Lead GTM planning for major product launches and campaigns in partnership with product and design
Define marketing KPIs, build reporting infrastructure, and close the loop between performance data and strategy
What we're looking for:
A founder, former founder, or early operator who has built something from scratch—a company, a brand, a marketing org and knows what it takes to go from zero to one
8+ years of experience in consumer marketing, with at least 3 years leading and scaling a marketing team at a high-growth startup or creator/culture-forward brand
Proven track record scaling a consumer product through a critical growth phase—you've taken something from early traction to breakout and can show the receipts
Equally strong in brand and growth—you can write a brand manifesto and optimize a paid funnel in the same week
A builder who's energized by standing up a marketing org, not just inheriting one—you know what great looks like and you hire and develop people to get there
Deep understanding of internet culture, taste-making communities, and how ideas spread online—you know what's happening before it hits the algorithm
Strong grasp of lifecycle marketing, retention levers, CRM systems, and marketing analytics
Data-informed but brand-led—you know when to follow the numbers and when to trust your taste
Sharp communicator who can present to leadership, collaborate cross-functionally, and inspire a team
